Front End Developer and CMS Developer/Administrator (contract) - 2014-2017
Daimler Trucks North America, Portland, OR

  • As a rapid-prototyper brought the DTNA UX/UI department from providing customers drawings and wireframes to providing clickable framework based prototypes that became the basis for our internal web development shaving a week or more off delivery times.
  • Saved many users 4-8 hours per week in their daily jobs by upgrading applications to modern web standard based UIs.
  • Spearheaded the UX team’s efforts to install, administer and train the team in JIRA and Confluence.
  • Created big data visualizations of sales figures for the office of the CTO in D3.
  • Worked with the Lead UX designer to create and implement two custom frameworks for use on all internal websites and web applications throughout Daimler Trucks North America.
  • Researched, selected, implemented and customized Umbraco CMS for our department to create user administered websites on our intranet.

Front End Developer (contract) - 2014

  • Member of the Electronic Delivery Framework team on the Nike.com desktop and mobile public e-commerce website.
  • Added functionality and fixed existing bugs in an agile scrum environment.
  • Diagnosed and fixed major double byte and encoding issue that subtly broke lazy loading of Jordan branded shoes.

Front End Developer (contract) - 2014
House of Antique Hardware, Portland, OR 

  • Worked with the lead UX designer on a project to transition the company from a NetSuite front end to a standards based responsive full stack site. Executed rapid prototypes with JavaScript, jQuery, D3, HTML5, CSS, and Bootstrap.
  • Redesigned templates to use Bootstrap for responsive design eliminating the need for a separate phone app.
  • Conducted extensive profiling and analysis of performance issues I inherited from the original design. Refactored code and redeployed to achieve 30% increase in load time for the home page which was a major goal of the CEO.

Web Application Developer - 2013-2014

Worked with two entrepreneurs to entirely create their corporate presence on line. Created Full Stack web application based in a ColdFusion RESTful API of my own design, database of my own design, and a standards based CSS/JavaScript/AJAX front end.

Contract developer. Fixed bugs in CSS and JavaScript across Mac and Windows for IE8+ and modern browsers. Evaluated existing HTML/JS/CSS and recommended changes for more efficient code. Established coding standards rules for front end developers.

Full Stack Developer - 2008 - 2012 
Let’sGoExpo, Pacifica, CA

Worked on team of 2 developers to plan, build and maintain 5 commercial websites. Led the company to implement Flash Media Interactive Server (now Adobe Media Server) to create video on demand and streaming services for multiple events.

  • Installed, customized and scripted Flash Media Interactive Server 3.5 to provide VOD and livestream of conferences and meetings.
  • Integration of video information into new and existing database schemas and front end templates.
  • Created a virtual classroom in Flash with 12 student and one teacher simultaneous livestreams using laptop cameras. The teacher can see all the students to confirm attendance. Students can ask teacher questions and teacher can answer so that all the students can hear and see. The application was developed for remote students who could not be in the classroom because of illness or behavioral issues.
  • Worked to move all our sites to full Section 508 accessibility
